Jacob's 2nd Birthday Party

Thanks for everyone who came to Jacob's birthday party!!!

It was SUPER FUN! 

And Jacob got some fun CAR stuff

Okay... I may not be the super mom who makes elaborate birthday cakes, 

but this ice cream cake from DQ was AMAZING!!!!!!

Great job Uncle Riley for picking it out!

Grandpa decided that he needed to out do everyone and get

Jacob a youth size basket ball hoop and put it together in my living room.

If this is any indication of what the future birthday presents will bring, 

my kids are going to be SPOILED

And that's okay with me

Almost forgot...

Before Jacob turned 2, we did a little photo shoot

First day as a TWO year old

All admit, this might be a little "over the top"

But I don't care! =)

Yesterday was Jacob's BIG 2nd Birthday! I can't believe it!

And I followed him around all day and took pictures of

almost everything we did so that I can always remember it.

I desperately miss my sweet chubby baby Jacob and

honestly a little piece of my heart is broken

with the thought that those days are over.

But I am also very excited for what the future has in store

for us. I know that it will be amazing!

And I'm incredibly grateful that I get to be his mom

He is an awesome kid! And I love him with every piece of my heart.

From the moment Josh handed him to me, he has held my heart

in his little hands. Instantly I feel in love and I have cherished every

moment since.

When Mom came to get me out of bed this morning, she

blinded me with the flash of her camera and sang Happy Birthday

to me at least 10 times!

I was playing with my cars like I always do. I LOVE cars! 

I have them all the time! I play with them, eat with them, bathe with

them and sleep with them! Hee hee

Mom made me my favorite breakfast...

French toast! 

She even put a little syrup on it, which she never does.

Then she chased me all over the house! I love the

dad put a tunnel on the back of the couch for me to go through.

It's where I go to look out the window at the world outside,

play with mom and dad, AND hide so they can't change my diaper

Grandma got me this cool green jeep that I like to play inside

I love my cars! Queen is my favorite

My buddy Lucas gave him to me

Then mom put my favorite movie on TV...

CARS! 

I LOVE this movie, it's the only thing on TV I will watch.

Nothing else on TV captures my attention like this movie

For lunch mom continued to spoil me by giving me all my favorites!

Chicken with a little BBQ sauce for dipping, 

goldfish crackers, apple slices and mac and cheese! 

A BIG lunch for a BIG boy =)

Then I played with MORE cars and mommy gave me

a birthday present. Cars coloring book! YAY!

I don't get why these markers only work on this paper

 and don't mark on the wall or floor

Then it was night night time

I'm the easiest kid in the world to put down!!!

I don't fuss about it. Just brush my teeth, say prayers, 

give me a car or two, and my doggie, and my lion, and

my blanket and you wont her a peep from me for 2-3 hours

Mom LOVES IT!

For dinner we went to Red Robin

We had a great time! The big red bird was out and I would

point to him and smile when he was across the restaurant, but

I didn't want to talk to him when he got close.

All these people started singing happy birthday to me

it was kinda embarrassing

They gave me ice cream, but I wasn't interested because

I get too distracted when I'm around other people to eat even

the most delicious food

Grandma tried to make me, but I still didn't eat any

Dad and I did some flash cards on his phone

I LOVE doing flash cards and learning new words!

I have learned SOOO MANY words this way!!! 

Mom and Dad highly recommend the app for any one who

has kids and has an iphone! It's free and AMAZING!

After the flash cards, we played a little as a family

then it was night night time.

Mom helped me brush my teeth

and Daddy put me in bed, after family prayers,

with my cars and stuff

More Halloween 2010

Here's what we did on Halloween

Carved our pumpkin (finally) way last minute

Jacob was only unsure for a second and then he dug right in!

Confession: I used to think that parents that took 2 year olds out

trick or treating were crazy and that it was pointless because a 2 year old

doesn't get it and shouldn't eat all that candy

so... it's just the parents forcing their scared child

to trick or treat so they (the parents) could get candy.

BUT I must apologize to all parents out there I have

ever judged like that because Jacob DID get it and

he LOVED it!!!

He had SO MUCH FUN!

We went to just 4 of our neighbors before the trick or treaters

really came and called it good.

BUT after Jacob helped me answer the door for an hour, he

had had enough and it was his turn again. So he went and grabbed

his trick or treat pail and my hand and walked me to the door

and waited for me to open it so we could go out again.

So we did! He would knock at their door, say "Hi. Treat? Thank you, bye bye."

It was the cutest thing ever!!!

Side Note: Jacob would not keep the ears on for his wolf costume

and you didn't really get it with out the ears so it's

a good thing we had a back up costume of Buzz Lightyear!
