Some people have a green thumb...

NOT ME!!!

As you can see

everything seems to be failing.

Chives, Dill, Sugar snap peas...

all dying =(

The tomatoes don't know weather

they want to live or die yet

cause you can see the new green growth

under all the dead stuff

Yes, I know I need to weed

Besides being lazy, tired, and busy...

I haven't cleared out the weeds just incase

they are the pumpkins finally sprouting

Cause sometimes a sprout looks like a weed, ya know?

Anyone know why the leaves have the big holes in them?

It doesn't look healthy

And I didn't spare you the weeds this time

cause when you really look at them, they are kinda pretty

Found this little guy while I was outside today

Isn't he pretty?

I don't know what species he his

He has some neat coloring

Anyone know???

And here's Jacob's contribution to gardening...

Boys vs. Girls

This just amuses me,

the difference between a boys closet

and a girls =)

I know that some parents don't

put their boys in so much blue and

their girls in so much pink, but I do.

cause there are some great ones,

but I think that might make them a little annoyed

But maybe I'll brave it

Grill Master

Josh got a BBQ from his dad for Father's Day

and Josh is SO EXCITED for summer grilling!

This steak was AMAZING

SO juicy and flavorful... totally impressed

Fathers Day 2010

This year we went over to Josh's Dad's house

for a rainy day BBQ

Jacob, Josh, Riley (Josh's brother) and John (Josh's Dad)

Jacob LOVES sticks of any kind...

broom, wood, medal, the swifer, a golf club... anything

He will carry it around forever!

John has chickens and Jacob got to meet one

of the chicks. He tried to give it a kiss, but I didn't

have my camera ready, bummer =)

Jacob would like to remind you to...

I think all moms can agree

when your child smiles, it makes it all worth it! =)

It's amazing to me how simple life is for small children

You can see in their faces that they delight in the littlest things

Sometimes when he smiles like this

it makes me LOVE my life that much more

and it makes me think that he loves his life

If I could give my children one thing it would be

that they would love this beautiful, unpredictable,

crazy, amazing, one time and one time only... life

Garden, hits and misses

Here's the progress of my plants

Hits:

Sugar snap peas

Dill (thriving!)

Lettuce

Raspberries

Cabbage

Misses:

Tomatoes BIG TIME (don't know where I went wrong)

Basil (sprouted, then they all disappeared,

it's the weirdest thing)

Still not sure:

Pumpkins (hasn't sprouted yet)

Zucchini (same)

Strawberries (we have ONE berry)

Chives (they looked like they might die,

and are now looking a little better, I guess

we will have to wait and see)

Any advice?
