That's not how it works silly

I still try to give Jacob his pacifier at times

but I think he thinks of it more as a toy now

He takes it right out at looks at it or drops it or sometimes

he will suck on what ever end ends up in his mouth

it's kinda cute and comical at the same time

He will take it well enough at night to get him to sleep

sometimes =)

Eh whatever, at least I wont have to go through

trying to take it away from him when he's older

 I hear that can be rough

I don't know who is funnier!!!

Josh and Jacob have such a sweet connection

They are like best friends already

It's so cute!

I have to be honest

At first it did bug me that Jacob liked Josh more

But I know that Jacob does love me

and I always wanted our son to think of his father like a hero

and I really think he does

so now I love it! I love seeing them together!

I will have to post some pictures I have taken of

the look on Jacob's face when he's looking at his daddy

It's so sweet and pure awe of his daddy

A painful reminder

The other day I woke up to find THIS on

 Jacob's poor little button nose

Poor baby

I swear I file his nails at least twice a week

I file cause I'm still to scared of cutting him with the clippers

And actually I bite them sometimes

I know it sounds strange to those of you who have never heard if it

but for me it really is the best way

Chocolate Cherry Jubilee Birthday Cake

It was my mom's birthday this last week

She is one of the hardest people to shop for

 since she has everything that she could ever want

cause she buys it her self

I thought I would make her a good home cooked meal

Plus a pedicure and back massage

The cake was the best part!

A few random things

OH Jacob rolled over for the first time today!!!

A few times actually

but of course by the time I got the camera

he was done

Just some fun and random pictures

This one is just cute and it shows

off his dimples! Which I LOVE!

He has 2 on his left cheek, none on his right

I try so hard to get him to smile when I'm taking pictures

So this is his "Mom, your CRAZY!" face

I get it a lot =)

And Josh looks at me the same way sometimes

Jacob and Marcel are BFF's

He's started reaching for things this week

He will reach for toys that are close to him

(well anything actually)

He reaches to be held

and he also reaches for our faces.

I LOVE it! I just let him feel around all he wants

Sometimes when I'm gone Josh will take

some pretty funny and random pictures hee hee

I think it's cute!

He's pretty content Just hangin out with Dad

Unless he's hungry or tired, he will just chill next to him

Me... not as much (what's up with that?)

Already a ladies man

Josh and I were put in as the sun beam teacher about 6 weeks ago. We LOVE it! I was really worried and a little bummed cause I wanted to get to know the women in the ward, but we actually love this calling! We have 3 little 4 year olds and they absolutely LOVE Jacob! They always call him Baby Jacob. "Hi Baby Jacob. Baby Jacob is smiling at me. Baby Jacob is crying. Baby Jacob wants a toy." It's very cute! They are SO bummed when someone is holding him in R.S. for us. I don't mind either way. It does make it easier to teach when someone has him but I love that these kids love him so I don't mind having him there either. 

Cute story; this sunday Josh and I woke up SUPER late so Josh stayed home to get Jacob and him self ready while I hurried to church to be with our sunbeams during sharing time. We sit on the front row and they kept asking me "Where's Baby Jacob?" Finally Josh and "Baby Jacob" quietly slipped in the back row and in the middle of someone's sharing time lesson, all 3 of them turned around, waved and shouted "Hi Baby Jacob! Hi Baby Jacob!" It really was so cute!

Another cute story; Church was over and we were getting ready to leave and Jacob was getting super fussy so I put him down for a second before getting him into his car seat and these 2 cute girls (the girl on the left is one of our sunbeams and the girl on the right is her older sister) came in and were tickling him and talking to him and he was LOVING it! He was so happy! He likes the cute girls! Hee hee

Photography... I try

I say this all the time, but man

I wish I would have taken photography in high school! =)

I'm trying. If anyone has any tips let me know.

Otherwise I will just continue by trial and error

Let me know if there is anyone out there who would

want to get together and take pictures with me of our kiddos

2 heads are better than one and I run out of poses

4 Months and off the charts

Jacob turned 4 months yesterday

I chose 2 pictures to post because the first picture

shows off his beautiful smile

and the second better shows how big he has gotten.

Both taken on the same day

Current:

Weight: 19 lbs 7.8 oz 100% OFF THE CHART

Heigh: 27 1/2'' (2'3'') 97%

Head: 17'' 76%

Hair: blonde on top, still got a little strawberry blonde on bottom

Eyes: Still kinda grayish blue, but the Dr. thinks they will be blue

Diet: 100% mommy milk

Cuteness: 100% off the charts again! =)

Nighttime Sleep: goes to bed between 9-10pm

sleeps 5-6 hours, nurses then back to sleep another 2-4 hours

Almost through his second costco size box of size 3 diapers

BTW every babies body is different and the costco 

Kirkland diapers don't fit him right and he would always 

poop out of them (spray n'wash is my best friend).

But the Huggies fit his body so much better and 

they are actually the same price at the Kirkland brand.

Although I really hate using disposable because I really am a tree hugger

(ask my husband) but I'm too much of a chicken to try cloth,

Everyone says how difficult and gross they are

6-9 months clothes are starting to get too tight

Depends on the brand but some 12 months clothes are starting to fit (so crazy)

He hasn't rolled over yet (he's got a lot to lift up and roll lol) but he is trying

He would rather stand up holding his own weight then sit up or roll over

He has yet to sleep through the night, 

but that's alright breast fed babies usually don't for a while

He explores the world through his mouth. Everything goes into his mouth

You know when your baby is doing

something really cute and as soon as you bring the camera out

they completely stop?

Well, Jacob usually does that so we just left the light off

so we wouldn't distract him and make him stop laughing.

Daddy really had him goin today!

The video in the light is from a few weeks ago.

Mommy can't make him laugh quite as hard as daddy

But that's okay =)

What is my child doing?!?

He is WAY too young to be holding himself up!

But here he is! HOLY COW!

He is growing up WAY too fast!

Josh is just hanging out there waiting for him to

decide he's had enough.

At church today we put him next to a 7 month old boy

and YES my child was bigger! CRAZY!

New toy

Now that Jacob can grab things with his hands and "play"

we can now buy him toys to play with.

We got him this ball thing that he LOVES.

It's very easy to grab it and hold it,

the ball inside makes a rattle sound and 

he can stick his tongue all the way inside of the little holes

so what's not to love? =)

It's so cute to watch him play with it!

lets be honest!

Bath time... I can't tell

Yeah Jacob out grew his bath already a month ago!

So we give him a bath in the big tub (in shallow water)

I can't quite tell if he likes it...

lol I'm totally kidding he loves it because there is lots of room for kicking!

He kicks and splashes NONE STOP!

I'd show you a video but it's not very modest so I will keep that to my self.

More than he's letting on

I have so much to catch up on...

First of all I think this little guy can do more than he is letting on.

What do you think?

He doesn't seem to have much of an interest in rolling over during tummy time

but I get the feeling that he actually could if he wanted to.

He's big and he's very strong.

I caught him in this position and I was very shocked.

He can scoot himself in a circle! I put him "hotdog"

and come back and he's "hamburger" or even the other way "hotdog"

(does that make sense LOL)
